The History
The African Hebrew Israelites, seeking to reconnect with their ancestral roots, migrated to Israel in the late 1960s. Settling primarily in Dimona, they established the Village of Peace, aiming to live in accordance with their understanding of biblical principles. However, decades later, many face deportation despite their long-standing presence and contributions to Israeli society.
The Illusion of Return
The desire to return to the Promised Land is deeply rooted in the hearts of many us who identify with the ancient Israelites. Yet, Scripture emphasizes that the true return is not merely a physical relocation but a spiritual restoration.
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
— Jeremiah 29:13
This verse underscores that the Most High seeks a heartfelt return, characterized by obedience and spiritual alignment, rather than just a geographical move.
Prophetic Warnings
The Scriptures warn against premature attempts to reclaim the land without divine sanction. Such actions can lead to unforeseen consequences and hardships.
“They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.”
— Jeremiah 6:14
This passage cautions against superficial solutions that do not address the underlying spiritual issues, suggesting that a physical return without spiritual readiness will not lead to true peace or restoration. Sadly, our brothers and sisters who live there did not heed the prophetic warning from our ancestor Jeremiah and now are seeing the hardships from those decisions.
The Modern Zionist State of Israel
While the establishment of the modern Zionist state of Israel is a significant historical event, its alignment with biblical prophecy is not debatable. The formation of this state does not fulfill the prophetic vision of a divinely orchestrated return and restoration of the Israelites. The vast majority of those living there are not bloodline Israelites and do not practice the ways of the Israelites. The creation of the Kingdom of Israel would come by YAHUAH’s hand, not through a UN resolution or the actions of an atheist like David Ben-Gurion.
The Messiah said in the scriptures that Jerusalem would be trodden down by Gentiles until His return. While I could elaborate further, that is not the purpose of this article. This article aims to explore why the righteousness of YAHUAH is the only path for establishing His Kingdom and our return.
“For they being ignorant of YAHUAH’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of YAHUAH.” — Romans 10:3
This verse emphasizes the dangers of creating systems or states based on flawed human understanding rather than aligning with divine righteousness. The prophecies were spoken by righteous Israelites, who conveyed the righteousness of YAHUAH. Attempting to bypass the foundational truth of being a chosen Israelite of YAHUAH will always lead to death and destruction, as has occurred many times before throughout our history.
In conclusion, understanding this point reveals why the Zionist state of Israel has never experienced lasting peace in the region—and will not achieve peace until the Kingdom of YAHUAH is established in accordance with His will.
Spiritual Exile
Being physically present in the land does not equate to being spiritually at home. The concept of spiritual exile suggests that without a genuine relationship with the Most High and adherence to His commandments, one can still be in a state of separation, regardless of our location.
“Therefore say, Thus saith the ELOHIM YAHUAH; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen… yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.”
— Ezekiel 11:16
This passage emphasizes that the presence of the Most High is not confined to a specific land but is accessible to those Israelites who seek Him earnestly, even in foreign lands.
In Conclusion,
The journey of the African Hebrew Israelites to Israel reflects a profound desire to reconnect with our heritage and fulfill our divine mandate. However, their experiences underscore the importance of aligning physical actions with spiritual truths. True restoration, as depicted in Scripture, involves a holistic return to the Most High, characterized by obedience, humility, and spiritual renewal. As we navigate our paths, it is crucial to seek divine guidance, ensuring that our steps are ordered not just by historical ties but by the will and timing of the Most High.
