Feasting with Devils: Why So-Called Christian Holidays Are Dangerous to Your Soul

A Feast Set Before Devils

Modern Christianity promotes holidays like Christmas, Easter, and Halloween as times of joy, family, and faith—but beneath the surface, they are feasts rooted in ancient demonic worship. While they may wear a thin cloak of religious tradition, these celebrations are far from holy. The Bible calls such observances “a table of devils” (1 Corinthians 10:21). Participating in them is spiritual adultery, and Hebrew Israelites are called to come out of this deception.

We are not to compromise the truth of YAHUAH for the traditions of men. These holidays are not in Scripture, not commanded by the Most High, and are often directly opposed to His laws. To eat of these feasts is to sit at the wrong table—to be in covenant with the enemy.

“Ye cannot drink the cup of the YAHUAH, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the YAHUAH’s table, and of the table of devils.”
1 Corinthians 10:21

What Scripture Says About Pagan Worship

1. YAHUAH Forbids Adopting Heathen Practices

The Torah makes it clear: when we come into the truth, we are not to inquire how the nations serve their gods, nor are we to borrow from their customs.

“Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them… and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? Even so will I do likewise.’ Thou shalt not do so unto YAHUAH thy Elohim.”
Deuteronomy 12:30–31

YAHUAH does not accept worship that mimics pagan rites. He requires pure obedience, not creative compromise. The very act of dressing a pagan ritual in religious garb is detestable to Him.

2. False Feasts Are Condemned

The prophets were consistent in their rebuke of false worship:

“I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.”
Amos 5:21

“Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me… your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.”
Isaiah 1:13–14

This isn’t about the Feasts of YAHUAH—this is about the fake “holy days” that were never appointed by Him.

Christmas: A Celebration of Saturn and Satan

A. The Real Roots of December 25th

Christmas is not the birthday of the Messiah. The Bible never gives a date for Yahushua’s birth, and no one in the early assemblies celebrated it.

Instead, December 25th was the Roman festival of Saturnalia, honoring the god Saturn, also known as Cronos, the god of time and death who devoured his own children. The day also commemorated Sol Invictus—the unconquered sun—a solar deity worshiped by pagans.

B. Pagan Symbols Repackaged

  • The Christmas tree is condemned in Jeremiah 10:1–4.

  • The yule log, holly, and mistletoe are fertility symbols.

  • Gift-giving mirrors the Roman Saturnalia tradition, not the biblical account.

“Thus saith YAHUAH, Learn not the way of the heathen… For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree… they deck it with silver and with gold.”
Jeremiah 10:2–4

C. Santa Claus is Satan in Disguise

The name “Santa” is a letter-scramble of “Satan.”
He is depicted as omniscient, omnipresent, and judging, stealing attributes of YAH. The roots of “Saint Nick” trace back to Odin, the Norse god who rode through the sky and was honored during Yule.

“Old Saint Nick” is just another face of the Adversary.
“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
2 Corinthians 11:14

Easter: Fertility, Blood, and the Queen of Heaven

A. The Pagan Goddess Behind Easter

Easter derives from Ishtar or Astarte, the goddess of fertility and war. She was worshiped with temple prostitution, child sacrifice, and springtime fertility rites.

“The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire… to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods.”
Jeremiah 7:18

B. Pagan Symbols Hidden in Plain Sight

  • Easter eggs: Fertility and rebirth

  • Rabbits: Ancient symbols of lust and reproduction

  • Sunrise services: Direct mimicry of sun god rituals

“Then he brought me to the door of the gate… and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz… and behold, at the door of the temple… were about five and twenty men… with their backs toward the temple… and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun.”
Ezekiel 8:14–16

C. A Counterfeit to Passover

Easter has nothing to do with the true resurrection of the Messiah. Yahushua kept Passover, not Easter. The apostles taught unleavened bread, not bunny eggs.

Halloween, Lent, Valentine’s Day, and Others

A. Halloween: The Devil’s Holiday

Rooted in Samhain, Halloween is about contacting the dead and demonic spirits. It is a high day in the satanic calendar.

“Regard not them that have familiar spirits… for all that do these things are an abomination unto YAHUAH.”
Deuteronomy 18:10–12

B. Lent and Mourning for Tammuz

Lent is not in Scripture. But mourning for a god is:

“He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations… women weeping for Tammuz.”
Ezekiel 8:13–14

C. Valentine’s Day and Roman Orgies

Valentine’s Day is rooted in Lupercalia, a Roman fertility festival that involved ritual sex and animal sacrifice.

What It Means to “Come Out from Among Them”

We are called to separate, not syncretize. You cannot mix the holy with the profane.

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith YAHUAH, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”
2 Corinthians 6:17

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins.”
Revelation 18:4

We are not to conform. We are to reform.

Why These Holidays Are Dangerous to Your Soul

1. Compromise Leads to Sin

These feasts are “fun” on the outside, but they pull people into worship that YAH never authorized. They open spiritual doors for deception, demonic oppression, and apostasy.

2. Spiritual Adultery is Rebellion

The Most High likens this type of worship to adultery:

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
Exodus 20:3

“My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me… and hewed them out cisterns… that can hold no water.”
Jeremiah 2:13

3. YAHUAH Is Jealous Over His People

“For YAHUAH thy Elohim is a consuming fire, even a jealous Elohim.”
Deuteronomy 4:24

Come Back to YAHUAH’s Appointed Times

You don’t need Christmas, Easter, or Halloween. YAH has already given us His holy days:

  • Passover

  • Unleavened Bread

  • First Fruits

  • Feast of Weeks (Shavuot)

  • Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah)

  • Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)

  • Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot)

These are eternal appointments—signs between YAHUAH and His people.

“Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of YAHUAH… even these are my feasts.”
Leviticus 23:2

It’s time to come out of Babylon. Stop feasting with devils. Return to the path of righteousness.
